ABOUT THE COLIN ROUSE AUTO TRIM SHOP

I left school at 16 and started an apprenticeship with a family run company called Co Trims, they ran an auto trimming and furniture upholstery restoration company which I trained with and got my skills and gained my MASTER TRIMMERS qualifications. I stayed wit them for 10 years, until I started my own company. From then until 8 years ago I ran my own furniture restoration company restoring vintage and classic car interiors along with a growing VW and custom car following.

Eight years ago we decided to change our life style and move to Cornwall and take life more slower and easy going! Since being in Cornwall I've worked for Penrose Sail in Falmouth undertaking the re-trimming of the super yachts from Pendenis ship yard which even at my age I learnt about a side of upholstery that was all new to me. But after being there for 3 years I had the calling, time to go back to my roots, car trimming. I started a small company within the 50-67 building of Shaun and Petra at Chacewater near Truro and it's gone from strength to strength. I focus on Volkswagen upholstery and trimming but cover all types of auto trimming, campervans, caravans, and boats feel free to call in for advice and a cuppa.
